- Before You Leave the Store or Checkout Online
- Verify Color, Fuel Source (Gas, Natural or LP, or Electric), and that you have the right model number on your receipt.
- Verify Dimensions for your new appliance. Will it fit in the opening in your house? Will it fit through all doorways necessary to get it into place? If there is an elevator, will your product fit, are there any time restrictions?
- Verify Address and Phone number listed on Receipt or in Checkout matches the proper information to make your delivery successful. Is this the best contact number for the day of delivery? Is this the correct Address?
- How many flights of stairs, if any, are required to get your new appliance into place?
- Verify that our truck will be able to get to your house. Is the driveway in place? Is there anything that will prevent our truck from getting to the house? Low hanging trees or wires, construction zones, Sand/Dirt roads? Is there a particular gate or entrance to your neighborhood we will need to use?
- Will we be connecting your new appliance? If so, please verify that all required connection parts are included in your order. ECA cannot connect or install any appliances without new hookup/connection parts.
- Are the connections in your house in good condition, free of corrosion and rust? Is gas turned on? Is the water valve for your fridge or dishwasher immediately accessible? Is the valve for your fridge or dishwasher copper? ECA cannot connect to copper. Water shutoff needs to be in the wall behind the fridge, or under the sink for a dishwasher, etc...
- Things to Know About Your Delivery
- You will receive a call 2 days prior to your delivery to verify all delivery details are correct. Please make sure there is a clear pathway for our delivery crews. Move furniture, rugs, fragile goods out of the pathway of the delivery crew.
- Please select a day that you will be available for your delivery. You will receive a call the morning of your delivery/install with a 3 hour delivery estimate. Your product may be unboxed when you receive it. We open many of our deliveries prior to it leaving the warehouse to inspect for damage to ensure a successful delivery.
- An Adult 18 years of age or older will need to be present at the house for delivery/install. If we arrive at your house and no one is there to let us in ECA reserves the right to charge a trip fee to come back out. For the security of your home and products ECA will not access any property through a lock box.
- Please inspect your new appliance for any cosmetic damage immediately after delivery and notify your salesperson within 24 hours of delivery. Any issues that arise after the first 24 hours will be handled in accordance with the Manufacturer’s warranty.
- ECA is not responsible for any damage to the home in the process of removal or relocation of an existing appliance or damage to any existing unit we are hauling away or relocating.
- If we are hauling away or relocating your old appliance, it needs to be emptied of all food, water, or clothes prior to our delivery crew arriving at your home. If you are concerned about reusing or selling an existing appliance you may choose to have it moved out of the way prior to our delivery crews arriving to your home.
- If our delivery crew or installer discovers any signs of infestation, we will not haul away your old appliance. We will not risk spreading anything that can cause our customers or delivery crews any health issues.
- ECA reserves the right to assess additional charges for non-standard, unprepared, or not at home delivery/installations. ECA is not responsible for non-standard/non-code compliant connections in home.
- Things to Check In Your Home
- Double Check all of your dimensions to make sure that we can complete your delivery. Double check your doorways into the house and kitchen/laundry room. If you have any concerns please reach out to your salesperson or contact your store below.
- Double Check your connections, water supply behind fridge/under your sink. Make sure gas is turned on.
