Shipping & Delivery

There are three types of appliance delivery options: Basic Delivery, Delivery with Installation and Custom Installation.

Basic Delivery
-
- There is no charge for basic delivery.
- Basic delivery is considered a drop off at the customer address indicated on the purchase agreement.
- The delivery agent will place the unit/s on the sidewalk or driveway or delivery address.
- Delivery agents will not remove doors, railings, or other fixtures in the home in order to deliver or install a product.
- Delivery agent may inspect the product for any signs of obvious damage. If any damage is found, it must be indicated on the delivery receipt at the time of delivery.
- An adult, 18 years or older must be present at time of delivery. This person must be able to sign for receipt of product/s.
- The delivery team cannot enter your home unaccompanied, nor can they accept a signed note instructing them to leave your purchase.
- Sidewalks and driveway must be in place and must be clear of snow, ice and debris prior to attempting delivery. Delivery agents have the right to refuse unsafe delivery conditions.
- We reserve the right to refuse delivery to residences that present unsafe delivery conditions or adverse delivery situations.

Delivery with Installation

- A flat rate delivery charge will be added to your purchase for up to three major appliances, with a charge of $10.00 for each additional appliance.
- Delivery agent may inspect the product for any signs of obvious damage. If any damage is found, it must be indicated on the delivery receipt at the time of delivery.
- Product will be installed based on the installation selected at time of purchase for an additional charge. If additional work is required to complete the installation of the selected product/s at time of delivery, those charges would be billed separately upon completion.
- Product will be installed on either a 1st floor or lower. If product is to be installed on a 2nd floor or above there may be an additional charge per floor.
- Delivery agents will not remove doors, railings, or other fixtures in the home in order to deliver or install a product.
- All installed product/s will be tested to ensure proper operation and functions.
- Delivery agents are not carpenters, plumbers, or electricians. All electrical outlets, water and gas shut-off valves, and cabinetry must be available and compliant at the time of delivery to complete any purchased installation options.
- If proper electrical outlets, gas shut-off valves, water supply and shut off valves, or venting sources are not available at the time of delivery, a complete installation may not be possible.
- Delivery agents will not install products, using previous or old connectors. This would consist of but not limited to the following: washer hoses, plastic or flexible dryer venting, copper or aluminum gas lines or existing flexible gas connectors, or existing electric range cords.
- An adult, 18 years or older must be present at time of delivery. This person must be able to sign for receipt of product/s.
- The delivery team cannot enter your home unaccompanied, nor can they accept a signed note instructing them to leave your purchase.
- Sidewalks and driveway must be in place and must be clear of snow, ice and debris prior to attempting delivery. Delivery agents have the right to refuse unsafe delivery conditions.

- Normal installation for replacement of the same type product would be as follows:
- Washer- removal of old unit, set new unit in place, level, and connect to outlet.
- Dryer- removal of old unit, set new unit in place, hook up venting electric cord, and level.
- Dishwasher
- Ranges- removal of old unit, set new unit in place, level, electric cord.
- Refrigeration
- Non Ice maker model- Move old unit to garage (removal is additional charge), set in place, connect to outlet.
- Ice and Water models- Move old unit to garage (removal is additional charge), set in place, connect to existing water valve (as long as valve is located properly and meets local codes), level if the model allows, connect to outlet.
- Non-Normal installation would consist of the following:
- Washer- removal of an old unit with water inside the washer, reinforcing floor to support new washer.
- Dryer- replacement of gas values, extending gas piping, running electric, hooking up to 3” ducting, replacement of 4” exhaust hood thru a wall, moving the washer to replace the dryer (when not purchased together).
- Ranges- Installation of an Anti-Tip device.
- Refrigeration- Reversal of the refrigerator doors, running a new water line.

Custom Delivery and Installation

A custom installation would be required if the installation needed does not fall within any of the predefined installations as indicated on the Installation Addendum. You will be provided with an estimate of charges to install the appliance prior to any charges being made.

Orders can be canceled within 48 hours of placing the order without any fee. Any orders canceled after that time could be subject to a restocking charge up to 20% or the actual freight expense to ship and return your order. To cancel an order, call or email us
Your purchase is backed by our 15-day return guarantee (some restrictions apply). To return an order, call or email us. Returns need to be made in new and unused condition along with the manuals and original packaging. Any shipping or delivery charges are non-refundable.
All sales are final on Overstock or Clearance. Special Order items are non-returnable, unless otherwise noted

Damaged Goods

In the event that an appliance arrives damaged, for minor damages we will enlist a local authorized repair person fix the appliance. If we cannot fix the product to an 'as good as new' condition, we will have the product replaced. Please note the damage on the delivery receipt and call or email us within 48 hours
Please be assured that all appliances come with a manufacturer warranty. So any potential problem related to a defect can be handled through the warranty and won't need to be returned. We will be glad to assist you with any warranty concerns.

Defective or DOA (Dead on Arrival) Merchandise

While not a frequent occurrence, some items will fail to function directly out of the box. Provided you keep the original packaging, including the UPC bar code on the box and all accessories, you will qualify for our 7-day return guarantee and receive a free replacement unit or a full credit upon returning the item to East Coast Appliance & Electronics. Exceptions to the policy include:
- Major Appliances that have been used at all must be repaired by the manufacturer or qualified East Coast Appliance Agent.
- Hazardous items that are gas-powered or contain flammable liquids.
- Any product missing the serial number or UPC.
- Gift certificates.
- Grocery products and Gourmet gift.
While most returned items will fall under the 15-day return guarantee and you will receive full credit for the item, partial refunds will be issued when:
- An item is returned more than 15 days after delivery.
- An item has obvious signs of use.
- An item not returned in the condition it was received.

Manufacturer Warranties and Repair

- Manufactures have a written limited warranty that must be followed in the event there is something wrong with the product.
- Refer to the owner's manual for warranty details.
- East Coast Appliance & Electronics will ensure that a Factory authorized technician is available in your area to service the product under the manufactures warranty.
